To create a storybook and bring out the characters in the storybook alive using Augmented Reality effects

Overview:
The project focused on creating an augmented reality storytelling book that would be interactive and interesting to all age groups mainly focusing on smaller age groups.
The Storybook was created from scratch and each page was drawn on procreate and adobe fresco.
We ideated how we loved when we saw our storybook characters come animated on television and some we imagine. Wondered how we can bring that magic alive and the tool that we had was AR. It was fun to write a story that would be simple, easy to understand and use AR to show the characters alive
Our project plan was executed over a month
To develop the concept and draw the book pages
To create the augmented Reality effects according to the story and make the book come to life
Add them to the book and have a QR code so that people can scan the code to see AR
Test and Print the book and see the story come live through AR
Did some Initial storyboarding for the concept, which would serve as a storyline and be a foundation for our illustration

The Output:
Using Spark AR we were able to develop our Augmented Reality effects related to the storybook. It was an interesting process where we had to animate and make that into AR.

Conclusion and Next Steps:
Having created the book and the AR effects from scratch is a great learning process and made sure of the effectiveness of the book when we did some testing with school students and saw that the book grabbed their attention and they loved daisy coming alive in augmented reality.
Future steps would be to publish the book and make the augmented reality effects have an interactive element
