Competitive Analysis

  • Most food/nutrition tracking apps provide really good advice on nutrition intake and meal plans, but they don’t usually have features for reminding users to have a meal on time.

  • They are not many products that use gamification features and engaging awad systems

  • Weight loss is still the top hierarchy for most of the apps and it isn’t for this Routate It only suggests healthy eating habits that are customized to the users’ needs.

  • Most of the experience is very based on self-commitment, which is also a big challenge for my product. simple and easy to use. This effortlessness is exactly what I envisioned for this product.

Conclusion and Future Iterations:

This app has the potential to be a valuable resource for young adults looking to build healthy eating habits. Combining food journaling, meal planning, and community support creates a comprehensive approach to mindful eating. Through research, I found that food journaling can positively change eating behaviors. The app's features make this process easier and more convenient for users, along with a companion virtual pet to support them. This app could significantly improve overall health and well-being with further development and testing.
